How to park the vehicle correctly?

Believe it or not, doing it right can make a big difference in your city. We often find motorcycles blocking sidewalks, in the middle of pedestrian crossings, next to facades or in other places where they impede access and hinder mobility, especially for blind people, the elderly or people in wheelchairs.

Whether you are in the city that you are using our motorcycles, keep in mind the essential to park well: common sense. The city belongs to everyone, so before parking, think if you are going to hinder someone.

You must finish your journey within the defined operational zone (if you don't you will be charged a penalty). The rules for parking vehicles are different depending on the city:

  • Madrid:

These are the options in order of priority to park in Madrid:

1- Look for a parking area reserved for motorcycles.

2- If there is no parking for motorcycles nearby, you can park in the parking strip on the road. Do it obliquely to the line of the sidewalk, occupying a maximum of 2 meters. Remember that parking in green and blue regulated parking zones (SER) is free

3- As long as there is no area reserved for motorcycles less than 100 meters away, nor is it possible to park in the parking strip, you can park on the sidewalk if these requirements are met:

 As long as they are streets that have not been declared pedestrian or of special protection for pedestrians.

  1. There should be no parking strip or specific signage prohibiting parking.
  2. There should be no parking strip or specific signage prohibiting parking.
  3. On sidewalks from 3 to 6 meters wide: park along the curb parallel to the sidewalk.
  4. On sidewalks more than 6 meters wide: semi-battery to the curb.

It is forbidden to park the motorcycle:

  1. In the pedestrian area of ​​public transport stops, in the case of forward sidewalks.
  2. On provisional sidewalk extensions.
  3. In reservations for parking vehicles for people with reduced mobility.
  4. At taxi ranks.
  5. On registration or service covers.
  6. Pedestrian areas other than sidewalks, unless expressly permitted by signage.
  7. In the pedestrian area of ​​the waste containers.
  • Barcelona 

These are the options in order of priority to park in Barcelona:

1- Look for a parking area reserved for motorcycles.

2- You can park the motorcycle semi-battery on the sidewalk if there is a passage space of more than 6 meters and parallel if it measures between 3 and 6 meters.

3- You must respect a minimum distance of 2 meters between the motorcycle and pedestrian crossings and bus stops, either on the road or on the sidewalk.

It is forbidden to park the motorcycle:

  1. Do not park the motorcycle on sidewalks with less than 3 meters of passage space.
  2. In the pedestrian area of ​​public transport stops, in the case of forward sidewalks.
  3. On provisional sidewalk extensions.
  4. In reservations for parking vehicles for people with reduced mobility.
  5. At taxi ranks.
  6. On registration or service covers.
  7. Pedestrian areas other than sidewalks, unless expressly permitted by signage.
  8. In the pedestrian area of ​​the waste containers.
  • Malaga

These are the options in order of priority to park in Malaga:

1-Look for a parking area reserved for motorcycles.

2-In the event that these areas do not exist, you can park on the road, obliquely to the line of the sidewalk.

3- If none of the above options exist, you can park on sidewalks, platforms and walkways that are more than 3 meters wide as long as this possibility is signposted.

  1. Park parallel to the curb, as close to it as possible.
  2. Respect 2 meters away from pedestrian crossings and public transport stops.
  3. You can park between the separation bars or tree grates.

It is forbidden to park the motorcycle:

  1. Do not park in front of a loading and unloading reserve.
  2. Do not park the motorcycle on sidewalks with less than 3 meters of passage space.
  3. In the pedestrian area of ​​public transport stops, in the case of forward sidewalks.
