Do the Cabify fares vary at night or the weekend etc?
In some countries, slightly higher fares apply during peak hours, public holidays or the weekends. These countries are Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Mexico and Peru.
In all countries, our fares are linked to the availability of vehicles in your area at the time you need one. This means that when our service is very busy, you may have to pay a surcharge. For more information on how this works and why we do it, see ‘What is the surcharge that applies during periods of high demand?’.
Of course, weekends, rush hours and holidays tend to be times when demand is high, so there is more chance that the price will include a surcharge at such times. Meanwhile, traffic conditions may mean your predicted journey duration is longer, which would increase the journey price. But don’t worry, you’ll always be able to see the estimated price before you order.
For more specific information on how our fares work in your city, go to our home page and select the ‘Fares’ tab on the top right and then select 'Fares' again. Choose your country and city and you will see a detailed breakdown of the fares for each category. On the same page, you can calculate the price of a specific journey underneath where it says 'Get a quote.'
Please note, reservation rates may be slightly higher than ASAP request rates.
