What is ‘Credit’ and how can I use it?

Credit is a balance you can use towards future rides with a driver. This way you pay less to get around!

There are several ways to obtain Credit:

  • Credit obtained from a company.
  • Credit obtained from travel*.
  • Credit obtained as compensation from customer service.

You can check your current Credit balance and transactions whenever you want in the ‘Credit’ section.

*Only some users are able to generate Credit from travel.

How can I use my Credit?

You can use Credit in conjunction with any payment method. 

  • If you receive Credit via a code: You must add it to your personal account before the expiration date in order to redeem it. The company that issued you the code determines its expiration date. If you have any questions or issues, please contact them.

You can add as many Credit codes to your account as you wish and accrue them.
Follow these steps:

Menu > Credit > Enter company code

  • If your Credit has been generated from travel*:
    You don’t need to add any codes to your account! The discount will be automatically applied to the fare when you request a ride with driver. Please keep in mind that the Credit you have generated from travel has an expiration date. You can consult the expiration date in the ‘Credit’ section of your menu.
  • If your credit has been issued by customer service:
    You won't have to do anything. One of our agents will ensure your
    compensation is automatically added to your credit balance.


Credit on or off? Select when to use your Credit at the flick of a switch.

If the Credit switch is on, your Credit balance will be used as payment method for every ride you take (unless the ride fare is less than your Credit balance, of course).


If you don’t want to use your Credit, simply flick the switch to off. This means that you’ll continue to accrue Credit. Simply flick the switch back to the on position whenever you want to use it.

** Can be used for rides with a driver, excluding ‘Make your offer’ (available in some countries).

  • I have Credit but I can’t use it. What should I do?

If for some reason your Credit is not being applied to your rides, we can help you out.Before you start panicking, check that:

  • The Credit switch is on:

You’ll find this in the ‘Credit’ section of your app menu. If it’s turned off, a simple flick of the switch will ensure your discount is applied when you request your next ride.

  • You have no other discounts applied:

Your Credit can’t be used in conjunction with any other discounts. This means the app will automatically select the best option for you. This may account for why it hasn’t been applied to your rides.

  • You’re using your personal account:

Credit is only available for use through your private account. 

  • Your payment method is valid:

If your Credit card has expired or you haven’t yet entered a payment method, your Credit won’t be applied to your rides.

  • You’re requesting a ride with driver:

If you’re looking to rent a motorcycle or a car by the minute, you can’t benefit from this type of discount.

  • If you received a Credit voucher, check that you’ve entered the code correctly and that it hasn’t expired:

To enter a company's Credit code, follow these steps:

Menu > Credit > Enter company code
To verify the expiration date, please contact the person who sent you the voucher.
